COMMERCIAL WASTES
Organic Recyclers composting operations held EPA licences/exemptions enabling the receival of a range of industrial by-products including grease trap sludge, food processing effluents and wool scour waste.
MELBOURNE ZOO
Organic Recyclers received the manures and bedding from the Royal Melbourne Zoo. These materials were composted, externally bagged and then sold through Plants Plus stores as Zoo Gro. The Zoo also regularly used the product with 900m3 used in the trail of the elephants development for over 30,000 new plants.
CONTRACTS
Organic Recyclers hoed long term contracts with Western Regional Waste Management Group, Northern Regional Waste Management Group, Grampians Regional Waste Management Group, the City of Greater Geelong and Ballarat City Council for the receival and processing of green waste from kerbside collections and transfer stations. These contracts supplied green waste from over 300,000 tenements with a further 200,000 predicted to come on line within the next two years.
